Mold Growth Causes Concern

Have you ever started a project and discovered what looked like mold? As you can see in our before picture, there were black spots and growth discovered during a water remediation project. To confirm if it is mold it is in everyone's best interest to hire an Industrial Hygienist (IH). These companies help make sure your home or business has safe levels of mold spores for everyone affected. The IH can also write a protocol that determines the removal process with very specific instructions to follow  and then also post testing to confirm it is reduced to safe levels. Once these protocols are written, we at SERVPRO of Lawrence are able to continue the water remediation process.

In the after photo, once the mold spores were removed, we encapsulated the area to help prevent future mold growth.
